Since leaving Corporate America, R. Nicole decided to become “slash/slashie” entrepreneur. You’re probably asking.... “What is a Slash/Slashie entrepreneur?” A slash/slashie entrepreneur is a serial profitable entrepreneur. She decided to turn her fashion passion projects into money generating businesses. She is the owner of a consulting firm (government and small business), a shoemaker/cobbler, shoe designer, travel bag designer for (Consulting Firm- Griffin Consulting Partners, LLC / R. Nicole , Shoes - R. Nicole Collection, & Travel Bag – Tashka Store).
After working in the film & tv industry, she went to grad school & listened to her mom to work with the federal government. As a kid, R. Nicole dreamed of becoming designer but never thought it was possible as a job. R. Nicole designs shoes for women that are members of organizations and that love colorful shoes. While working in Corporate America, R. Nicole would travel often for work and she found it difficult to pack suits, travel clothes, gym clothes...all in one bag. She searched the market for a carryon that would accommodate a traveler like her, but she could not find anything… so she designed and patent a travel bag. Her products have been featured on STEAM Program for Girls in Tech, Amazon Web Services, Fox 5 “Good Day DC”, Founders Gym, Kontrol Magazine, Yahoo News, LA Wire, NY Wire, Daily Herald, Medium, NY Weekly, and a few podcasts. She is a member of Junior League of America, Fashion Footwear Association of NY, Footwear Distributors & Retailers of America, & Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She is a caregiver to her mother with Alzheimer’s. She has 2 chocolate Pomeranians – Co Co Chanel & Saint Milan.
